From time to time I have a post that goes viral. Yesterday was one of those times. I was in Creekside and the sun teased us for about 10 minutes so I snapped a shot. I put it on Instagram and added a few hashtags, one being #whistlerunfiltered. Tourism Whistler saw it and shared it on their Facebook page and it seemed to get a lot of love. This week I was in Alberta. I brought with me a carry on suitcase and the flu. It was a work trip with a dash of play and a lot of phlegm.

I saw Canmore, Banff, a Flames game and the Holiday Inn. I had a 3 day Leadership Mastery Program and learnt a lot (through the fog of cold medicine). Here are some captured moments (in a jumbled order):












This weekend was a 3 day weekend for me. Hallelujah! I feel like since Spring I’ve been on the go with travelling, concerts, events, work, camping and fun. This weekend we had plans to camp which were changed due to weather so I decided to take a “Blair Weekend.” I opted to stay home when Shayne went to Kamloops to store our camper and didn’t do much (I have a trip coming up this week, too). I got together with friends for a Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday but I managed to sleep at least 11hours each night, nap, relax, not wash my hair, ride my bike, and catch up on my television shows. I have come to realize that I don’t let that happen often enough. I slept a lot because my body needed it. So, here are a few things that I’m going to try and do more often:

1. Sleep in (past 7am)
2. Take naps
3. Have a day off where I have no plans and I go with the flow
4. Go to bed at a reasonable time during the week (Note: I already do this and am usually in bed around 9:30pm)

The End

The darkness creeps into the daylight much earlier than before. In fact, I’ve come to the realization that camping season is almost over so this past weekend Shayne and I had a multisession weekend. It started off with going to the see premier of Ablaze. It’s a ski movie that some of his buddies are in. It got me excited to ski but also made me feel bad about how shitty of skier I am. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to work hard this season. Wow, Whis has a lot of very good looking athletes (you should have seen this crowd)!!

After twisting my arm, Shayne convinced me to go camping at Skookumchuck hot springs on Saturday (50 km down a VERY bumpy road). The campsites were almost full but we got a nice, private spot. The sound of the river covered up any noise from other campers and the forest was decorated with beautiful fall colours. You know what is yummy to make on the BBQ while camping? WINGS! Who knew? We managed to get my favourite tub while during dusk, lit come candles and relaxed in the hot spring. Nudity is common there…. Just sayin’

I also slept for 12 hours (in bed by 9) and had weird dreams. The Hot Springs are known as a very spiritual place where members of the Skatin community come to heal and since it was Yom Kippur I took an alternative approach at asking G-d for forgiveness. Maybe that had an influence on my dreams?
